The LINBIT® CloudStack® HCI Appliance was developed by the team at LINBIT as a direct response for those looking for a better and fairer VMware alternative.
The solution is based on tried and tested Open Source software including DRBD, LINSTOR, DRBD Reactor, LINSTOR Gateway, and the LINSTOR integration plugin for CloudStack, all of which come together to facilitate software-defined storage (SDS), high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) capabilities for storage within CloudStack. It comes in two support tiers: Plus and Enterprise.

Since 2001, LINBIT has been recognized for DRBD, our distributed replicated storage system for the Linux platform, officially integrated into the Linux Kernel in 2010 by Linus Torvalds.
